Feedback for Proposed Changes to the DPRA regulations

I agree fully with these comments. Waiving a co-pay is unprofessional conduct. Co-pays are expected to be collected, in order to reduce costs for everyone. If they are waived, the pharmacy will try to gouge someone else to compensate for waiving them. The action also influences choice of pharmacy, and therefore becomes an inducement with respect to professional services and prescriptions. That constitutes professional misconduct, and should not be condoned by the licensing body; if it is, it lowers the status of the profession in all eyes.
