Feedback for Proposed Changes to the DPRA regulations

These products are legislated to be schedule II so that pharmacists can monitor and intervene in their sale. The idea is to prevent diversion and abuse, not to counsel/assess every patient coming in to buy them (just as we are not required to do so for regular Tylenol products). The CBC report created a false belief that we're supposed to do full assessents, etc. I'd also like that CBC also did some free advertising to the public about these codeine products, in addition to misrepresenting pharmacists. I don't feel your suggestion would be feasible or welcomed by the many patients already using these products responsibly.
