Council endorsed the amendments made by the Fitness to Practise Committee respecting the policy on execution of consent orders. The amendment clarifies that an order by the Chair of a Fitness to Practise Panel to suspend the Certificate of Registration of a member who has defaulted on his/her agreement with the Professionals Health Program shall remain in force until it is replaced by an order of the whole panel, once the member's health is such that he/she can return to practice with suitable restrictions. The amended language is now consistent with such agreements between members and the College regarding these proceedings.
