Oral Contraceptives and Smoking
The College endorsed a resolution passed by the Conference of the Ontario Pharmacists' Association, Which asserted that pharmacists have a responsibility when dispensing oral contraceptives to advise their patients of the hazards resulting from a combination of oral contraceptive usage an smoking. Council agreed that it would be good pharmacy practice for pharmacists to advise their patients of the risk apparent in the combined use of tobacco and oral contraceptives.
