Becoming a College Assessor for PACE: Our Most Frequently Asked Questions

Practice Assessment of Competence at Entry (PACE)

The College is developing a new model to assess applicants’ readiness for practice called Practice Assessment of Competence at Entry (PACE). Following evaluation and OCP Council approval, PACE will replace the College’s current Structured Practical Training (SPT) program as the practice registration requirement for all applicants. The College has been recruiting experienced pharmacists to become volunteer assessors for PACE in preparation for the launch. Get a helpful overview of the PACE program in the Summer 2016 issue of Pharmacy Connection.

On the College website you can find “Common Questions from PACE Assessors,” which is a compilation of our most frequently asked questions about the program. As a volunteer assessor, the program is a great professional development opportunity and gives you the chance to give back and help mold the future of the pharmacy profession.

To learn more about PACE and apply to become an assessor, visit the Key Initiative on the College website.
