Reminder: Practising to Standards Ensures Quality Care

Ontario pharmacist practising to standards

The Standards of Practice outline how all aspects of pharmacy practice are meant to be delivered to mitigate risk and maximize health outcomes for patients.

OCP has adopted the Standards of Practice developed by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA):

These Standards outline the minimum standards that all registered pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must meet.

Regardless of your position or practice environment, when you perform a specific role you must perform it to the level specified in the Standards of Practice, and meet all of the standards associated with that role.

Additional information is available on the Standards of Practice page on the College website.
