Reminder: Expanded Scope Manual a Helpful Resource

The College continues to receive questions from pharmacists about their duties and responsibilities regarding expanded scope activities. We strongly encourage members to review the Expanded Scope of Practice Orientation Manual. You’ll find it to be a helpful resource that you can continually reference.

The manual includes information on:

Initiating therapy (smoking cessation)
Renewing or adapting a prescription
Administering substances by injection or inhalation for demonstration purposes
Documentation and notification

Important Change for Ontario PharmD Graduates

Given enhancements to the experiential requirements within their curriculum, PharmD graduates from the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo are no longer required to complete the College’s Structural Practical Training (SPT) internship program. Once they graduate, however, they must register as an intern with the College to engage in the practice of pharmacy.

2015-2018 Strategic Framework

Council develops a new strategic plan every three years. This plan is the foundation upon which the College plans activities, focuses human and financial resources, and holds itself accountable.

Council recently approved the 2015-2018 Strategic Framework.

Council Election in District N: Vote by August 5th

Voting closes Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 5pm for the council election in district N. Be sure to cast your ballot before it’s too late.
