"What's the Harm in Harm Reduction?" Conference

March 29, 2018

Chatham, ON

The ‘What’s the Harm in Harm Reduction’ conference is a collective action community-based initiative whereby several individuals and organizations from the nonprofit, private and government sectors have come together to bring a unique and timely educational opportunity to the Chatham-Kent region. The conference is being held at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre, to discuss the Opioid Crisis and the rapidly increasing role that harm reduction will play in the continuum of care.

There will be a networking opportunity available after the conference, where conference goers will also have the option of participating in our ‘Save a Life’ training sessions facilitated by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit. Participants of this specialized training will learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to an opioid overdose and will receive a NARCAN / Naloxone kit and training on how to administer this life saving medication.
