Pharmacy 5in5 is an interactive learning platform developed by The University of Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy to help pharmacy professionals self-audit their knowledge and acquire a deeper understanding of a variety of clinical and professional topics.
This interactive online education tool is designed to help pharmacy professionals develop their skills with a goal of enhancing the delivery of safe, effective and ethical care. It includes short videos, infographics and flash cards and can be used on computers, tablets and smartphones. Users are able to test their knowledge on a topic by answering 5 questions in 5 minutes. When a gap is identified, they can use one or more of the learning resources to build their knowledge and identify topics that require deeper self-study. It allows users to audit their knowledge and provides them with feedback on their knowledge level compared to their peers.
Pharmacy 5in5 is supported and funded, in part, by OCP.
Within the platform, learner can access modules on a variety of topics such as Adaptations, Renewals, Naloxone, Vaccine Administration, and Pharmacy Technician Scope of Practice among others. New modules launched include QT Prolongation and Serotonin Syndrome.
