How to Use Find a Pharmacy or Pharmacy Professional Tool

The Find a Pharmacy or Pharmacy Professional tool allows users to access useful information about their pharmacy or pharmacy professional.

The College is required to maintain this part of the website by law. Sometimes known as the “public register”, Find a Pharmacy or Pharmacy Professional includes lots of useful and specific information about pharmacies and pharmacy professionals in Ontario.

Information about Pharmacies

Information is available about the following kinds of pharmacies.

Open to the public:

  • Community pharmacies
  • Remote dispensing locations (RDL)

Not open to the public:

  • Drug preparation premises (DPP)
  • Hospital pharmacies

Tips on Finding a Pharmacy

Search Tips

  • Fill in only the fields you know — it’s not necessary to complete every field
  • Be sure that you spell words correctly
  • If you can’t find what you are looking for, try using different search fields or broadening your search by filling in fewer search fields
  • You may wish to use Google Maps to help you locate the pharmacy
  • Don’t include “Ontario” in your address
  • Don’t use accents in your search terms

More Search Options

If you need more options or want to find a group of pharmacies that meet certain criteria, you can use More Search Options. Here, you can search by:

1. Type. Find the definition of each type of pharmacy in the Glossary of Terms.

  • Open to the public:
    • Community pharmacy
    • Remote dispensing location
  • Not open to the public:
    • Drug preparation premises
    • Hospital pharmacies

2. Operating status. Find the definition of each operating status in the Glossary of Terms.

  • Entitled to operate (no conditions)
  • Entitled to operate (with conditions)
  • Not entitled to operate

3. Accreditation number. Find the definition for accreditation number in the Glossary of Terms.

4. Concerns. Find useful definitions about concerns relating to a pharmacy in the Glossary of Terms.

  • A manager or director that the College has/had concerns about
  • A previous finding of proprietary misconduct
  • Conditions on its right to operate

Exporting Lists by CSV

The results of your search can be exported in a CSV format.

  1. Visit our Find a Pharmacy/Professional tool
  2. Go to the Find a Pharmacy or Find a Pharmacy Professional tab
  3. Choose your search criteria, if applicable
  4. Click search
  5. On the search results page, click the “Export Results to CSV” button (upper right-hand corner). For pharmacies: this will provide you with a CSV list of all the pharmacies within your search criteria, including their name, accreditation number, address, phone number and fax number. For pharmacies professionals: this will provide you with a CSV list of all the pharmacy professionals within your search criteria, including their name, registration number, registrant type, status and whether they have injection training. 

Important note: Due to restrictions on our servers, this list can only be downloaded between 5 p.m. and midnight. We also recommend you use an up-to-date Chrome or Edge browser – please be patient as it may take several minutes to complete the download process.
