Pharmacy 5in5 is an interactive learning platform developed by The University of Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy to help pharmacy professionals self-audit their knowledge and acquire a deeper understanding of a variety of clinical and professional topics.

This interactive online education tool is designed to help pharmacy professionals develop their skills with a goal of enhancing the delivery of safe, effective and ethical care. It includes short videos, infographics and flash cards and can be used on computers, tablets and smartphones. Users are able to test their knowledge on a topic by answering 5 questions in 5 minutes. When a gap is identified, they can use one or more of the learning resources to build their knowledge and identify topics that require deeper self-study. It allows users to audit their knowledge and provides them with feedback on their knowledge level compared to their peers.

Within the platform, learner can access modules on a variety of topics and quizzes (topics include but are not limited to: adaptations, renewals, naloxone, assessing opioids, narcotic inventory, cannabis, COVID-19, Paxlovid, influenza vaccines, SIRVA,  MAiD, non-sterile compounding, anticholinergic toxicity, serotonin syndrome QT prolongation, drug-induced kidney injury, interactions with eye medications, women and anti-seizure drugs, pharmacy technician scope of practice, POCT, heart failure, hypertension, non-insulin diabetes drugs, travellers diarrhea, cancer support, antibiotic stewardship, medical abortion, adjusting meds during ramadan, etc).
