By the end of this module, you should be able to do the following:
1.Recognize when the loss of a narcotic or controlled substance should be reported;
2.Follow the steps required to report the loss of a narcotic or controlled substance;
3.Develop a policy/procedure to manage controlled substances inventory in the pharmacy;
4.Identify appropriate approaches to managing shortages in narcotic reconciliation; and
5.Prepare for a Health Canada assessment/inspection.
