Supporting Patients with Biosimilars: The Role of the Community Pharmacist (2022 – 2023)

With biosimilars initiatives moving Canadian provinces and territories towards increases in use of biosimilars, pharmacists can collaborate with patients, specialists, primary care providers and patient support programs to support their patients who are prescribed biosimilars.  This online course features patient case scenarios as well as a series of “ask the expert” questions addressed by a pharmacist with expertise in biologics.  The accompanying patient flipbook “Biosimilars and Your Health Condition” can be shared with patients to help reinforce key messages about biologics and biosimilars.
