As you may have heard, Canada Post is on strike. Canada Post isn’t processing or delivering any mail as long as the strike lasts.
Documents that you normally receive from us by mail (e.g., Certificate of Registration for new registrants) may be delayed. If there are any documents you’d normally mail to us, we may not be able to receive or process them until after the labour disruption ends. The College continues to receive and process documents sent electronically or delivered in person.
Here are some examples of how this could impact you:
- Certificates of Registration won’t be sent until after the labour disruption ends. Members of the public can continue to confirm the credentials of a pharmacy or pharmacy professional though our Find a Pharmacy / Professional Tool. Once the labour disruption is over, Certificates of Registration will be mailed out.
- Requests for a new or duplicate wall certificate will be processed after the labour disruption ends.
- Supporting documentation for registration sent by mail to the College may not be received or may be delayed. Applicants submitting supporting documentation are encouraged to submit their documentation using an alternative method (e.g., by email or in-person). For further information on what registration documentation is accepted by email, reach out to our Registrant Services team at registrantservices@ocpinfo.com.
- Any Committee decisions (e.g., Registration Committee, Quality Assurance Committee) will be communicated through email. Please ensure your email address is current and up to date in your OCP profile.
- Hard copy materials submitted as part of an investigation or Discipline Committee hearing should be sent by courier or dropped off in person. Materials submitted by email may not be accepted.
- Pharmacy signage, including the Point of Care symbol, notice to patients and the usual and customary fee signs won’t be sent to pharmacies until after the labour disruption ends.
