The Ontario Ministry of Health has released its Summary Report: College Performance Measurement Framework (CPMF) providing a system level overview of all 26 Colleges’ self-reported results organized using Measurement Domains ranging from governance and system partnerships, to policy, registration, quality assurance and complaints processes. This new annual reporting framework will ultimately encourage a better understanding of the activities of all health regulatory colleges in the province and promote improvement at a system level.
College recognized for commendable practices
In its Summary Report, the Ministry noted OCP’s governance reform work, and specifically recognized the College for having commendable practices in System Partnerships related to our work on Quality indicators for Pharmacy.
OCP published its first CPMF on March 31, 2021, and has now modified its Board Scorecard to mirror the CPMF domains in order to further demonstrate and reinforce continued alignment with the Ministry’s expectations and the College’s commitment to transparency, public accountability and performance improvement. The next CPMF will be submitted to the Ministry in March 2022.
