The Drug and Pharmacies Regulation Act (DPRA) e-Learning module is one in a series of learning modules from the College. It is an overview of key principles in the Drug and Pharmacies Regulation Act (DPRA) and its related regulation. We recommend that you view this module and refer to the DPRA legislation as required, as well as the practice policies and guidelines applicable to the DPRA.
The estimated running time is approximately two to three hours but will depend on your individual pace.
Please note that the DPRA learning module is only a tool to support learning the DPRA and its regulations and is not a comprehensive study resource. It is important to refer to the official legislation for more detailed and current information
Note: The Required Reference Guide for Ontario Pharmacies (Pharmacy Library) has been revised. As a result, the references and categories mentioned in Section 18.1 under Tab 9 (Resources and References) are described in more general terms and a subscription to a Drug Information Service is now optional.
The DPRA module was updated in March 2018 to reflect changes in regulations. Additionally, the module contains a new “Notes” feature. Click on the tab labelled “Notes” next to the menu on the left-hand side of the screen to read along with the module as it is being narrated.
