Pharmacies who have been approved to participate in the 2014-2015 Universal Influenza Immunization Program (UIIP) may begin immunizing patients with the publicly-funded flu vaccine on October 23, 2014.

Influenza immunization for the general population, including community-based influenza immunization clinics, can begin on or after the October 23, 2014. As in previous years, prior to the launch of the UIIP, the publicly-funded influenzavaccine can only be administered to high risk groups.
Health care providers may place orders for flu vaccine specifically for the immunization of high risk patients/clients prior to October 15th. Influenza vaccine orders for the general population can be placed on or after October 15th in preparation for the October 23rd UIIP launch date.
