College website offers useful information for questions on Physician Assistants

The College receives a number of practice-related questions and recently we've been receiving questions about physician assistants.

A couple of questions we’ve received include:

  • I have just received a prescription from a physician's assistant. Is it a legal prescription?

  • Can physician's assistants prescribe narcotics and other controlled substances under legislation?

For answers to these questions read the Article - Physician Assistants. For more information visit the Interprofessional Collaboration & Teamwork Practice Tool on the College website.
