Pharmacy technicians and pharmacists are invited to attend one of two virtual information sessions on the upcoming Practice Assessment of Competence at Entry (PACE) for pharmacy technician applicants.

The College will be transitioning from the Structured Practical Training (SPT) program to the PACE program for all pharmacy technician applicants by December 31, 2024. PACE has been successfully administered for eligible pharmacist applicants in community pharmacy sites since 2018.

As of December 31, 2024, all graduates from CCAPP-accredited pharmacy technician programs will be required to successfully complete PACE as an entry to practice registration requirement in a community or hospital pharmacy setting.

To provide information about PACE and how to get involved in the rollout, the College will be hosting two virtual information sessions:

  • Wednesday, April 24, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 1, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Two hours are reserved for each session. The sessions may end earlier if the full two hours are not needed.

If you are interested in participating in either of these sessions, please confirm your attendance by completing and submitting this form before April 19, 2024 at noon.
