The Board is responsible for the development of the College’s Strategic Plan. The document is the foundation upon which the College plans activities, focuses human and financial resources, and holds itself accountable.
In 2018, the OCP Board approved a three-year Strategic Plan focusing on 3 strategic priorities, and with it, new vision and mission statement and updated organizational values. In 2020 and again in 2021, the Board reaffirmed that the strategic priorities remained relevant and would be in place through 2023, with a commitment to reviewing and updating the strategic plan for 2024.
On March 21, 2023, the OCP Board approved the College’s 2024 Strategic Plan, a document that will guide OCP’s operational and policy decisions over the next five years through to 2028. Input received through engagement and participation of College staff including frontline professionals, as well as system partners, was used by the Board to inform the development of the Strategic Plan. The College will develop annual operating plans aimed at fulfilling its legislated duty while advancing four new strategic goals, new regulatory principles that will guide this work and expanded organizational values.
