Maintaining Your Registration

To maintain registration as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, you must:

All registrants (including pharmacy students and interns) must:

  • Have a valid Personal Professional Liability Insurance policy that applies to providing patient care in Ontario (not applicable to pharmacists registered in Part B)
  • Inform the College of any changes to your workplace, your identity, your address and contact information, and your practice in other jurisdictions through the online services portal within 30 days of its effective date
  • Immediately self-report to the College all instances of questionable conduct or behaviour
  • Be physically and mentally fit to safely practise
  • Maintain English or French language proficiency to meet the standards of practice of the profession
  • Participate in the College’s Quality Assurance Program to demonstrate you have sufficient knowledge, skill, ability and judgment to competently practice (not applicable to pharmacists registered in Part B)
